ABOUT SACRED EQUINE
Sacred Equine was created from a lifelong love of horses and a genuine commitment to providing reliable, professional horse care in South Oxfordshire.
Based in West Hagbourne, near Didcot, I support private horse owners, competition yards and studs with flexible equine care built around the individual needs and routines of their horses.
For me, good horse care isn’t simply about completing everyday jobs. It’s about understanding each horse, treating them with patience and respect, and giving owners confidence that their horses are in capable and caring hands.
Meet Lily
A Lifelong Passion for Horses
Horses have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I did a Equine psychology Diploma course I passed with top grades.
I grew up on my grandparents’ farm, where there was a busy livery yard, so I was surrounded by horses from a very young age. This is where my love of horses really began and where I first experienced the responsibility and commitment involved in caring for them.
Over the years, I’ve also been lucky enough to own two horses of my own. They have taught me patience, responsibility and the importance of building trust and understanding.
Every horse has their own personality, habits and individual needs, and I believe taking the time to understand these is an essential part of providing good care.
PROFESSIONAL EQUINE EXPERIENCE
Being part of a working stud helped me develop my practical skills, confidence and understanding of the high standards required when caring for horses professionally.
My experience includes:
• Professional yard work
• Everyday horse care
• Stud work
• Yard routines and management
• Competition support
• Holiday cover
• Supporting busy equestrian yards
It also reinforced something I had understood from growing up around horses: reliability matters.
Horses require consistent care every day, so owners and yards need to know that the person supporting them will be dependable, attentive and respectful of their established routines.
WHY I CREATED SACRED EQUINE
After gaining professional experience and becoming fully mobile, I created Sacred Equine to provide flexible and dependable support to horse owners and equestrian yards around Didcot and South Oxfordshire.
I understand that sometimes you need regular support, while at other times you simply need someone you can rely on for a few hours, during a busy period or while you’re away.
Sacred Equine allows me to offer that support while doing something I genuinely care about.
Whether I’m helping for one morning, providing holiday cover or becoming part of your regular routine, my approach remains the same: calm, reliable care with your horse’s welfare at the centre of everything I do.
